iOS 7: Hackers can bypass the activation barrier

Hackers from the Netherlands and Morocco, the AquaXetine and MerrukTechnolog call themselves, want to have a way that Activation barrier of the IOS 7 to get around. Since the release of iOS 7 last year, it is not only possible to delete an iPhone from a distance completely. It can also block extent as that third parties can only then activate it when they enter the Apple ID of the rightful owner &# 8211; even if you delete all the data.

The hackers apparently can override this restriction (via Mac Rumors), they switch between using a computer in communication between the iPhone and Apple's servers. This computer then poses as iCloud server so that the iPhone eventually &# 8220; believes&# 8221 ;, that the activation was successful.

It is unclear what vulnerability exploit the hacker eventually. The first suspicion fell on the Windows version of iTunes, Apple has still not closed an SSL vulnerability. However, the hackers themselves point out that it does not handle an SSL gap.
